The reason is clear: the staff on site are tied up with an ongoing search operation. The whole team is focused on that effort, which is why the usual services aren't available at the moment. Treat this as temporary, but very real as you read these lines.

This station is a key point of contact before you head into the Maze, one of the wildest and most technical districts in the park.
