The original content of the American Parks website, including texts, images, illustrations, photographs, posters, logos, graphic compositions and editorial structure, is protected by copyright. The publisher identified in this legal notice reserves the rights it holds in these works. Access to the website does not grant a licence to reuse its content.
Reproduction and distribution. Without the rights holder’s prior written permission, any reproduction, duplication, display, republication, distribution, translation, adaptation or transformation of this protected content, in whole or in part, is prohibited, subject to statutory exceptions and any expressly stated licences.
This prohibition applies to all methods and media, including print, digital and electronic media: websites, applications, social networks, publications, PDF documents, videos and merchandise, whether the use is free or paid. It also covers copying or scraping the website to republish its protected content or reconstruct all or part of it.
Images, illustrations and posters. American Parks visual works are not available for unrestricted reuse. Republishing, adapting or incorporating them into another work, or using them on products for sale, requires prior written permission, unless a statutory exception or an express licence applies. Cropping an image, changing its colours or adding text does not remove this requirement where protected elements are used. Purchasing a poster transfers the physical copy only; it does not transfer any reproduction, adaptation or exploitation rights in the illustration.
Short quotations. Exceptions under the French Intellectual Property Code, including Article L. 122-5, remain applicable. A short quotation must be justified by the critical, polemical, educational, scientific or informative purpose of the work in which it appears, remain proportionate and clearly identify the author and source. No word count or percentage grants a general permission to reuse content. A credit or link to American Parks does not replace permission where it is required.
Third-party content. Park facts come notably from the National Park Service (NPS). American Parks claims no exclusive rights over those facts. The website’s texts are original editorial works, distinct from NPS source documents. Third-party content, open data, map backgrounds, fonts and software components remain subject to their own rights and licences, as specified in Credits and licenses or alongside the relevant content.
Permission requests. Contact [email protected], specifying the content, medium, intended use, duration and scope of distribution. No response does not mean permission. Any use that infringes the publisher’s or another rights holder’s rights may lead to a removal request and, depending on the circumstances, infringement proceedings or other legal action.
Personal data and cookies
This site uses Google Analytics 4 solely to understand page views, traffic sources and device types. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Measurement starts only after consent. Before consent, no analytics script is loaded and no tracking cookie is stored. Refusal is the default. The choice is kept in the browser for six months and can be changed through the Cookies link.
Google may process measurement data on servers in the United States under the applicable EU–U.S. safeguards and standard contractual clauses. The site has no user accounts, contact form or mailing-list registration. Rights requests may be sent to [email protected].

The shop sells posters from the American Parks collection: original illustrations, one per national park, printed on demand by our print partner Gelato in the workshop closest to the delivery address, on matte 200 g/m² or museum 250 g/m² paper, in three sizes, without frame. American Parks is an independent site: the posters are not official National Park Service products and are not affiliated with it.
Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included, excluding shipping. Shipping is calculated and displayed before payment, at the real carrier cost for the destination. Payment takes place on the secure order page hosted by Shopify; an order confirmation and a tracking link are sent by email.
You have 14 days from delivery to withdraw without giving a reason; return shipping is at your expense and the refund, including the initial shipping, is made within 14 days of receiving the return. A damaged parcel or a printing defect is reprinted or refunded at our expense. The legal guarantee of conformity and the guarantee against hidden defects apply. Order data (identity, address, email, payment) is processed by Shopify for the sale; name and delivery address are passed to Gelato for production and shipping. Full details in the terms of sale.
